The Gaming Wiki Network, or GWN, was founded on October 21, 2022 by 11 members and 3 affiliates. The GWN is a network of independently-hosted wikis about video game franchises and aims to support all gaming communities in building independently-hosted wikis. The GWN has 20 members and 6 affiliates at present.

February 27, 2024: The Wizardry Wiki joins the GWN as its 20th member.

February 19, 2024: The Old World Blues Wiki joins the GWN as a member.

January 17, 2024: The Coffin of Andy and Leyley Wiki joins the GWN as a member.

November 5, 2023: Hollow Knight Wiki joins the GWN as a member.

August 10, 2023: Mamiya Wiki joins the GWN as a member.

May 18, 2023: The Sanrio Wiki joins the GWN as an affiliate.

March 6, 2023: The Star Trek Online Wiki joins the GWN as a member.

December 31, 2022: The Independent Fallout Wiki exits early access and opens up to the public.

December 28, 2022: The Kingdom Hearts Database joins as a member.

December 28, 2022: The GWN website goes live!

December 21, 2022: PaRappa.party becomes an affiliate of the GWN.

December 1, 2022: The Independent Fallout Wiki joins as a member.

November 21, 2022: SEIWA becomes an affiliate of the GWN.

October 21, 2022: The GWN is relaunched with 11 founding members and 3 affiliates. The founding members are the JiggyWikki, Conker Wiki, Rare Wiki, Triforce Wiki, Crash Bandicoot Wiki, Spyro Wiki, Final Fantasy Wiki, Wiki of Mana, Speedrunwiki.com, SaGa Wiki, and MediEvil Wiki (now Gallowpedia). It is affiliated with the Arthur Wiki, Diary of a Wimpy Kid Wiki, and SpongeBob Wiki. A new logo is made and the wiki footer is updated.
